The CAVS file format is short for the Chinese Audio Video Coding Standard. It includes a set of advanced coding/decoding standards developed by the Workgroup of China in 2002 with the aim of resolving problems of audio and video compression, such as original data and sources. It is a streamlined, efficient video coder that is dedicated to coding HDTV content and is commonly used for DVD players and home theater systems in China as the format for high-definition videos. However, personal computers don't support the CAVS format. To play it correctly on your computer, you must convert the CAVS file into a supported format like MP4 using a video converter tool.
OPUS is an audio format that is primarily used for internet streaming. Therefore, you can't find these files commonly on your device. They can be encoded in a container format such as OGG, and such files have a nickname - 'OGG OPUS' files. Primarily, such files find their place in video conferencing and chat while playing games. The main drawback is that only a handful of media players can play the OPUS files. If you want to play them, you must use Microsoft Groove Music, VLC media player, Opus player or FooBar2000.
